Eagles ready to pounce in 2019

The Pleasant Home Eagles are prepped and ready to kick off the 2019 football season.
Pleasant Home opens up the season road trip to Elberta on Aug. 23.
Elberta won last year’s contest 27-18 in the first contest between the two schools.
Pleasant Home gets into Class 1A, Region 2 on Sept. 6 when they travel to Elba to take on the Tigers.
Elba won last year’s game 28-14 in the first contest between the two schools.
On Sept. 13, the Eagles will have their home opener when Red Level comes to town.
Red Level holds a 6-5 record over Pleasant Home and won last year’s contest 15-14.
Pleasant Home stays at home on Sept. 20 with a region game against the McKenzie Tigers.
McKenzie holds a 10-5 record against the Eagles, but Pleasant Home won last year’s game 34-20 to break a six-game losing streak against the Tigers.
The Eagles will host the Class 5A Satsuma Gators on Sept. 27.
The two squads have met one time prior with Satsuma winning 54-0 last season.
Pleasant Home gets back into region play when they go on the road to face off with the Georgiana Panthers on Oct. 4.
Georgiana won last year’s game 40-0 and holds a 6-3 all-time record against Pleasant Home.
Pleasant Home will make a short trip to Kinston on Oct. 11 to take on the Bulldogs in a region battle.
Kinston was able to pull out a 20-14 win last year, but Pleasant Home leads the series 10-9.
The Eagles return home when they square off with Florala for a region match on Oct. 18.
Pleasant Home leads the series 12-7, but Florala won last year’s game 40-0.
Pleasant Home finishes region play on Oct. 25 when they go to Brantley for a contest with the Bulldogs.
Brantley leads the series 18-1 and won last year’s game 47-0.
The Eagles wrap up the season on Nov. 1 when they host Zion Chapel.
Zion Chapel holds an 8-5 record over Pleasant Home and won last year’s game 34-14.
