The Andalusia 8U All-Stars are packed and ready for the Alabama Dixie Youth Baseball AA State Tournament beginning Friday in Decatur.

Andalusia will be in the American League bracket with East Tuscaloosa, Taylor Rehobeth, Smiths Station, Municipal National, Hueytown, Montgomery American, Alexanderia, Eclectic and Russellville.

The National League bracket features Decatur American, Taylorville, Mountaineer American, Opelika, Clanton, Rogersville, Dothan National, Decatur National, AUM, Oxford, Municipal American and Troy.

Andalusia’s first game will be at 6 p.m., on Friday against East Tuscaloosa.

The American League bracket begins with Russellville and Eclectic at 3 p.m.

Alexanderia takes on Montgomery American at 3 p.m.

Hueytown plays Municipal National at 4:30 p.m.

Smiths Station and Taylor Rehobeth battle at 6 p.m.

If Andalusia wins their first game, they will take on Hartselle at 2 p.m., on Saturday.

If Andalusia loses the first game, the will play in an elimination game on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The National League bracket begins with Decatur American and Taylorville at 3 p.m.

Mountaineer American takes on Opelika at 3 p.m.

At 4:30 p.m., Clanton battles with Rogersville.

Dothan National competes with Decatur National at 4:30 p.m.

AUM takes on Oxford at 6 p.m.

Municipal American plays Troy at 6 p.m.

The American League bracket championship will be on Tuesday, July 9 at 9:30 a.m.

The National League bracket championship will also be at 9:30 a.m., on Tuesday.

The American League and National League champions will then play a best-of-three series on Tuesday, July 9 for the state championship.

The time of the state championship has not be set.

The tournament is a double elimination style event.

Andalusia earned a spot in the state tournament after defeating Troy for the District 9 championship last month.
