Andy 10U falls in district title game

The 10U Andalusia All-Stars put up a strong fight, but fell 10-0 to Troy in the District 9 championship game in Troy.
Brayden Jones singled with one out in the top of the first inning, but that was the last base hit the Bulldogs would manage in the game.
Troy got hot early in the game and jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
Andalusia got hard hits from William Grimes, Brayden Ware and Landon Butler, but Troy players were able to retire Andalusia in order in the top of the second inning.
Asher Bentley took over on the mound in the bottom of the second inning and struck out the first batter he faced.
Bentley worked around a two-out walk to keep Troy from adding to their lead.
The Troy pitcher was throwing darts as he struck out the side in the top of the third inning.
Bentley struck out another batter in the bottom of the third inning, but Troy was able to go up 7-0.
Bailey Watts reached off of an error when he had a hard-hit ball to shortstop.
However, Andalusia was unable to move him around to score.
Troy went up 10-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning to end the game.
Bentley threw two and two-thirds innings.
Bentley struck out two batters while walking one and giving up four earned runs.
Grover Wells pitched a third of an inning and struck out one batter.
Wells allowed three runs, but none of them were earned.
Wells didn’t allow a hit.
Butler pitched a third of an inning, but walked four batters and gave up three earned runs.
