The Andalusia 8U All-Stars earned a spot in the state tournament after a strong district tournament this weekend in Enterprise.

GAME TWO

ANDALUSIA 13,

GENEVA 10

Andalusia jumped out front early and held off Geneva for a 13-10 win.

Andalusia jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first inning off of hits from Kaleb Covin, Zay Leslie and Houston Weant.

Weant led the way going 2-for-3 with four RBIs.

Row Thorn finished 4-for-4 with two runs scored.

Isaack Harkins went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Covin went 3-for-3 with two RBIs.

Leslie went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored.

GAME TWO

TROY 14,

ANDALUSIA 4

Troy came out strong in the next game and knocked off Andalusia 14-4.

Cooper Maynor, Thorn, and Weant had two hits each.

Thorn, Weant, Harkins and Jackson Grimes had one RBI each for Andalusia.

GAME THREE

ANDALUSIA 9,

ENTERPRISE 3

In the final game of the day, Andalusia earned a 9-3 win over Enterprise.

Maynor and Weant each had two RBIs in the game.

Farley Brannon went 2-for-3 with one run scored.

Collin Coursey went 2-for-2 with one RBI and two runs scored.

Ian Kimbrel went 2-for-2 with one RBI and one run scored.

Leslie went 2-for-2 with one RBI and two runs scored.

With the win, Andalusia earned a spot in state tournament in Decatur.
