OPENING UP WITH A BANG: Andy 8U All-Stars pick up big win in Enterprise

The Andalusia 8U All-Stars opened up the district tournament with a 17-8 win over Enterprise on Friday in Enterprise.
Enterprise scored three runs in the top of the first inning, but nice plays from Row Thorn, Kaleb Colvin and Farley Brannon helped Andalusia end the frame.
Cooper Maynor singled to left field with one out in the bottom of the first inning.
Thorn followed with a single that put runners on first and second.
Andalusia got on the board when M.J. Berry ripped a triple to right field that scored Maynor and Thorn.
Colvin followed with a single to tie the game.
Zay Leslie kept the inning alive when he doubled home Colvin to put Andalusia on top 4-3.
Houston Weant tacked on another run when he drove in Leslie with a single to center field.
Enterprise tied the game 5-5 in the top of the second inning.
Beau Bennett and Brannon singled in the bottom of the second inning, but the score remained 5-5 after two innings of play.
Isaack “Savage Ice” Harkins drove a ball to center field to start the bottom of the third, the Enterprise player was able to make the catch for the first out.
Berry then singled to get the inning going.
Leslie came through with a two-out single before Weant gave Andalusia a 7-5 lead with a two-run double.
Ian Kimbril then drove in Weant to put Andalusia up 8-5.
Collin Coursey opened up the bottom of the fourth inning with a single.
A few batters later, Thorn drove in Brannon and Maynor with a single to put Andalusia on top 10-5.
Enterprise fought back and made the score 10-8 in the top of the fifth inning.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, Weant singled with one out in the inning.
Kimbril moved him to second with a single and then Jackson Grimes drove him in give Andalusia an 11-8 advantage.
Bennett then singled to load up the bases for Andalusia.
Coursey drove in Kimbril and Grimes with a single to make the score 13-8.
Brannon followed with a double that let Bennett score.
Andalusia added to their lead when Thorn drove in Coursey and Brannon with a double.
Harkins followed with a single and then Berry drove in Thorn to put Andalusia up 17-8.
Andalusia was then able to hold off Enterprise in the top of the sixth inning for a 17-8 victory.
Andalusia plays Dothan tonight at 7:30 p.m.
