County Commissioners appointed seven people to an arena advisory board on Tuesday.
- Dennis Moore, who is a former president of the Alabama Junior Rodeo Association, a business owner and has been in rodeos since he was a child. Commissioner Kenneth Northey nominated Moore.
- Kevin Rodgers, who is in the cattle and rodeo industry and has contacts to help with the arena. Commissioner Joe Barton nominated Rodgers.
- Carla Powell, who Commissioner Tony Holmes said would bring a lot of contacts to the table.
- Thomas Huggins, who Commissioner Kyle Adams said would broaden the board’s horizons to bring more events to the arena.
- Becky Courson, who has a strong interest in the arena and the equine industry. She was nominated by Chairman Greg White.
Also serving as ex-officio members, which mean they have no vote, are Karen Sowell and Stephanie Cotton.
