Local teen killed in crash

A Red Level teen was killed in a car crash Monday afternoon, According to State Troopers.
Sgt. Drew Brooks, spokesperson for the Alabama State Troopers’ Troy Post said a two-vehicle crash at approximately 1:30 p.m., on Hwy. 55 near the 40-mile marker claimed the life of Joseph Cameron Worley, 18, of Red Level, as well as an 8-year-old juvenile from Dallas, Ga.
Brooks said Worley was killed when the Chevrolet Camaro he was driving entered the opposing southbound lane and collided with a 2015 Nissan Pathfinder being driven by Edwin Cornell Graham, 44, of Dallas, Ga.
Both Worley and the 8-year-old juvenile, a passenger in the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder died on the scene due to injuries sustained during the crash.
One adult passenger and a 3-year-old juvenile were flown to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.
Graham and an 11-year-old were transported to a local hospital and later airlifted to Sacred Heart.
Brooks said speed is believed to be a factor in the crash.
Nothing further is available to report as the Troopers continue to investigate.
UPDATE: The adult passenger, of the 2015 Nissan Pathfinder, Landie Romulus, 35, has also died as a result of her injuries sustained during the crash.
