AIK team brings home top awards

A couple of Andalusia Isshinryu members recently earned top honors at the Kelly’s Heroes Classic held in Rogersville, Tenn.
Dalton Spears had a big day for the AIK team.
Spears was on top of his game as he came away with first place finishes in youth black belt weapons, kata and fighting.
Kila Thompson was equally as impressive for the AIK team.
Thompson earned a first place finish in women’s black belt kata.
Thompson also picked up second place finishes in women’s black belt weapons and fighting.
“Great work against great competition,” AIK instructor Mark Rudd said of his team members.
Instruction in Isshinryu Karate is available for all ages.
Members of AIK travel all across the United States competing against other karate schools.
Several AIK members have earned Grand Championships under the instruction of Rudd.
AIK has also sent two members to compete in college.
