EDWARD DEWAYNE MASON

Mr. Edward Dewayne Mason, 84, of Decatur, Ga., formerly of Red Level, passed away Fri., April 26, 2019.

Mr. Mason graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He received his master’s degree from Tulane University.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Sat., May 4, 2019, at Fairmount Baptist Church in Red Level with Mark Gregory officiating. A short visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:30 a.m.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, eight months, and 19 days, Penelope Pelz Mason; his children, Spring Ann Mason and Wade Allen Mason (Rebecca M. Mason); grandchildren, Jennifer Nicole Stone, Austin Vaughn Mason, Cooper Mason Lewis,; a sister, Anita Mason Gregory (Earl A. Gregory); and nieces and nephews, Trey Gregory (E. A., III) Mark Edward Gregory, Tara Gregory McKinney.

His grandson, Christopher Allen Mason, preceded him in death.
