Mizell seeks input from residents

Beginning this week, and continuing through June 15, Mizell Memorial Hospital is administering a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), so that it can incorporate the perceived health needs of the community into its long-rang plan.
Mizell CEO Jana Wyatt said, “Feedback from the survey gives us valuable insight into the perceived health needs of the community. We incorporate the findings from the survey into our annual strategic planning process which helps make sure we spend our time and resources on what matters most to patients.
“Conducting a Community Health Needs Assessment and adopting an Implementation Plan is an IRS requirement for 501(c)3 not-for-profit hospitals,” she said. “But to us, it is more than a requirement. It’s a vital part of fulfilling our mission to provide the highest quality healthcare, in a Christian manner with hometown compassion to the communities we serve.”
Anyone who is older than 18 who resides in the community is encouraged to participate in the survey, which also includes an invitation to provide additional comments and concerns that need to be addressed.
The survey can be found on the hospital website at www.mizellmh.com.
