Lady Eagles down Straughn

The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles rallied late to knock off the Straughn Lady Tigers 4-3 on Wednesday afternoon in Straughn.
Bella Worley walked to start the game.
Hope Gunter then gave the Lady Eagles an early lead when she drove in Worley with a triple to left field.
Straughn’s Dallas Mackoff reached off of an error to start the bottom of the first inning.
Emma Ray followed with a single that allowed a run to score.
Madi Harrison followed with a sacrifice bunt that allowed the Lady Tigers to go up 2-1.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, the Lady Tigers were able to stretch their lead.
Allison Hawkins drew a one-out walk and moved to second on a single from Abbey Glidewell.
Hawkins moved around to third on ground out.
Hawkins gave the Lady Tigers a 3-1 lead when she stole home.
Ansley Johnson started off the top of the fifth with a single for Pleasant Home.
Johnson moved to second when Daisy Cordle reached off of an error.
Natalie Schwartz loaded the bases with an infield single.
The Lady Eagles chipped into the lead with a run-scoring single from Gunter.
Amy Kate Bulger followed with bases-loaded walk to tie the game 3-3.
Emily Taylor then pushed across the eventual winning run with a sacrifice fly to center that brought around Schwartz to score.
The Lady Eagles held off the Lady Tigers in the final innings for the win.
