Dear editor:

My name is Bill Gilbert and I have promoted entertainment for 22 years in a historic theater in my hometown of Valley, Alabama.

The people of Andalusia and surrounding areas, who enjoy the real music of days gone by, are in for a real treat that will be performed at the Dixon Center, Lurleen B. Wallace Community College, on Thursday, April 4.

Jason Coleman, grandson of the late pianist Floyd Cramer, along with Meagan Taylor, niece of the great guitarist Chet Atkins, will be in a performance entitled “Nashville Legacy,” that will offer the smooth country and pop songs that bring back great memories to those attending.

Jason and Meagan have performed to thousands in most every state in our nation, always receiving standing ovations. I, as a promoter at the historic Langdale Theater, have presented them seven times and our audiences let it be known they were the favorites of our 83 concerts.

A small sampling of the songs they will present will be “Last Date,” “San Antonio Rose,” “Tennessee Waltz,” “I Can’t Stop Loving You,” “Freight Train,” “Mr. Sandman,” “Chattanooga Choo-Choo,” “Take Me Home Country Roads,” “I’ll Fly Away,”  and many more from artist such as Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline,  Jim Reeves, Eddy Arnold, Bob Wills, Hank WIlliams and The Everly Brothers, to name just a few, in their two-hour concert.

I truly believe the audience will remember this outstanding concert for a long, long time.
