JIMMY FRANK VICK

Mr. Jimmy Frank Vick, 72, of Andalusia, passed away Fri., March 15, 2019, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Mon., March 18, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Billy Boles officiating the service.  Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., Monday at Foreman Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Jo Johnson Vick of Andalusia; his son and daughter-in-law, Dusty and Kara Vick of Huntsville, Ala.; one daughter, Tammy Lee Hudson of Andalusia; four grandchildren, Haley Vick, Holly, Hunter, and Hayden Hudson; a brother John Vick and wife Faye of Andalusia; his sister Sue Vick Starley of Andalusia; a sister-in-law, Kay Johnson Suits of Penny Farms, Fla.; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Pallbearers will be Preston Chesser, Den Couturie, Terry Randolph, Glenn Leuenberger, Richard Jones, and Chet Thrash.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or the American Cancer Society.

JOHN DAVID SHAVER

Mr. John David Shaver, age 90, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away February 25, 2019, at Andalusia Health.

Mr. Shaver is survived by his nephews, Jimmy Pate, Todd Pate and Jeffery Sowell of Andalusia, Wade Britton of W. Virginia; nieces Diane Howell, Katie Howell Poole and Aimee Sowell of Andalusia, Tammi Pate Merrell of Dothan, Sue Harper, Gina McIntyre, Judi Ward, Mindy Ward, Missy Ward and Robbie Ward of Evergreen; a sister-in-law Ila Britton of Birmingham, and numerous other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Hazel Kelley Shaver on January 27, 2019; parents, William Thornton Shaver and Nellie Gibson Shaver of Brooklyn, Alabama; brother William Bartley “Bo” Shaver of Andalusia; sisters Voydell Shaver Pate and Louise Shaver Taylor of Andalusia.

A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2019, at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Fairfield Highlands Baptist Church 910 9th Street, Midfield, Alabama 35228.

PATRICIA HARRELL

Patricia Harrell age 70, of Florala passed away March 14, 2019. She was born April 12, 1948, to Harvey Lee Cheshire Jr. and Virginia Raley Cheshire. Pat had a love for life and a love for getting things done. She was often found out in the fields working with her late husband Jerry getting pastures cleared and ready for the livestock that they cared for. In her spare time she loved to fish and care for her vegetable garden. Pat loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Her sweet smile and loving ways will be truly missed.  Patricia was preceded in death by husband, Jerry Harrell; father, Harvey Lee Cheshire Jr.; mother, Virginia Raley Cheshire; brother, Tony Cheshire.

She is survived by sons, Michael Cheshire and wife Jean of Florala and Wayne Harrell and wife Joann of Lockhart, daughter, Tonya Harrell of Florala, grandchildren, Hunter Cheshire, Tyler Harrell, Tanner Cheshire, Leigh Anna Harrell, Bryson Harrell and Kadence Martin. She relished being their “Nanny”.

Funeral services for Patricia Harrell were at 4 p.m., Sun. March 17, 2019, from Red Oak Baptist Church with James Pickron and Ray Bundy officiating. Interment was in Enon Cemetery.
