Florala pitches past Pleasant Home

The Florala Wildcats picked up a 7-2 win over the Pleasant Home Eagles on Monday night in Pleasant Home.
“I thought we came out sluggish, but our bats finally came alive late in the game,” Florala head coach Tyler Zessin said. “Hopefully, it will carry over tomorrow versus McKenzie. We have to get more consistent with our hitting when we get runners in scoring position.”
James Hawkins, Josh Ruth, Josh Hawkins and Judd Fuqua had one hit each for the Eagles.
Jo. Hawkins and Fuqua drove in one run each for Pleasant Home.
Jacob Hammac picked up the win on the mound for the Wildcats after pitching seven inning and striking out 12 batters.
Nealand Stone led the way at the plate going 3-for-4 win one RBI.
Justin Paul was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
Logan West also drove in two runs and finished 2-for-2 with two walks.
