EFFIE MAE RUSSELL
Mrs. Effie Mae Russell, of Andalusia, passed away Sun., Jan. 20, 2019, at her residence. She was 70.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., today, Wed., Jan. 23, 2019, at the Keahey Funeral Home Chapel of Andalusia; with Rev. John Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the Eden Baptist Church Cemetery in Babbie. The family received friends from 6 p.m., to 8 p.m., Tue., Jan. 22, 2019, at Keahey Funeral Home Chapel of Andalusia. Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia has been entrusted with arrangements.
Mrs. Russell is survived her son, Lamar Grissett of Andalusia; her grandchildren, Kimberlie Grissett of Andalusia, Summer (Jeremey) Freeman of Evergreen; 5 grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Joe Hester of Andalusia, Charleene Taylor of New Hope, and Dianne Grissett of Opp. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Lamar Grissett and Mary Louise Grissett; her sister, Sarah McIntosh.

MICHAEL JOE BRUGGER
Mr. Michael Joe Brugger, age 60, of Opp, formerly of Michigan, passed away Mon., Jan. 21, 2019, at his residence.
A memorial service will be held at a later day in Selma, Ala.
He is survived by his wife, Christy Elrod Brugger of Opp; daughters and son-in-law, Victoria and Chris Lee of Red Level, Trudy Cinader of Michigan, Rachel Brugger of Michigan, and Shawn Brugger of Michigan; sons, Brent Brugger of Lakeland, Fla., and Zane Brugger of Michigan; 10 grandchildren; parents, Donald and Ruby Athena Brugger of Lakeland, Fla.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy and Mike Lower of Lakeland, Fla., Yvonne and Delmar Gross of Kentucky, Marlene and Mark Brown of Michigan; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Patrick and Ruth Brugger and Jim and Ervonna Brugger all of Michigan.

JOHN ALAN WILLIAMS
Mr. John Alan Williams, age 61, of Red Level, passed away Sat., Jan. 19, 2019, at his residence.
John was a devoted Christian, a loving family man, and a friend to everyone he met.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., today, Tue., Jan. 22, at Foreman Funeral Home with the Rev. Diane Everette officiating the service. Interment followed at Fairmount Cemetery. A visitation was held one hour prior to services at Foreman Funeral Home.
He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Katherine W. and Andrew Bartlett of Birmingham and Lauren W. and John Rogers of Mobile; mother of their children, Mary Lynn Williams of Birmingham; father, Curtis McCoy Williams (Ms. Bea Mason) of Red Level; two grandsons on the way; nephews, Robert (Gabrielle) Smyly of Birmingham and Frank Smyly of Birmingham; and niece, Marie Smyly of Foley.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Tollison Williams.
Pallbearers will be: Carl Smyly, Hiram Brogden, Clay Wilson, Laylon Cox, Andrew Bartlett, John Rogers, Ed Hardaman, and Robert Smyly. Honorary Pallbearer: Frank Smyly.
