The Straughn Tigers split varsity contests with Georgiana on Tuesday in Straughn.

GIRLS

STRAUGHN 48,

GEORGIANA 36

In the opening match, the Lady Tigers fell 56-48.

Allie Kelley and Tori Hicks led the Lady Tigers with 12 points each.

BOYS

GEORGIANA 52, STRAUGHN 50

In the final game, Georgiana hit a shot at the buzzer to down the Tigers 52-50.

Trent Cleland led the Tigers with 19 points.

Tucker Reynolds finished with 13 points.

“We played real well at times,” Straughn head coach Bradley Stephens said. “I thought we did a good job of making halftime adjustments and slowing Georgiana down. I thought the girls played real well in the beginning and had a slow time adjusting to Georgiana’s adjustments, but when we adjusted the girls responded really well.”
