Headed to nationals

Straughn High School alumnus and University of Alabama student Logan Dauphin and his cornhole tournament partner, Michael Orso, helped win a total $9,000 for fellow UA team members Saturday when they competed in the Southern College Cornhole Championship. The duo  won their match, with a score of 25-7. However, the Georgia teams won overall.  The Alabama teams brought home a total of $9,000, or $642 per person.

Dauphin and Orso are going to Myrtle Beach, S.C., Dec 29-30 to compete for National College Cornhole Championship. It will be televised by ESPN, also. They will be competing for $25,000 among other college doubles.
