AOPS names boss of year

The Andalusia Office Professionals Association held its annual Bosses Luncheon on Tuesday, October 16, in the PowerSouth Energy Cooperative’s boardroom.
Andalusia Police Chief Paul Hudson was the guest speaker.
Matt Diamond, PowerSouth fuels and energy resources manager, was named 2018 Boss of the Year award. He was nominated by Kim Arrington, PowerSouth fuels department secretary.
“Matt as been with PowerSouth for several years and is very knowledgeable in the power industry,” Arrington wrote. “Even though he has been very busy with various projects since taking the position as our manager, he has been attentive to our needs and has shown a desire to get to know each of his staff. His professional qualities and understanding of the department’s responsibilities is very impressive. He always values each of our opinions and we appreciate his honesty and integrity.“
Diamond holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in environmental engineering from the University of Florida and is a licensed professional engineer in Alabama and Florida.
He and his wife, Stacy, have four children, Daisy, Shepherd, Rosie and Smith.
