Three Andalusia High School seniors are organizing Paws for a Cause, a pet supply fundraiser for the Andalusia Animal Shelter.

AHS senior Colin Marcum said the fundraiser is being coordinated through the AHS Key Club, and is being done in conjunction with research projects on animal abuse, neglect, and shelter overcrowding. Kate Black and Kayley Williams also are participating in the project. The three are doing the research for papers in Dawn Thompson’s English class.

The seniors are encouraging the donations of pet food, cat litter, and other pet items like beds and toys. They will accept the donations from 1:30 until 4 p.m. in front of the Kiwanis Center on Sat., Oct. 27.

They also are selling T-shirts, which are Comfort Color, and are $25. To pre-order a short, message Marcum at colin.marcum5@gmail.com.
