The Andalusia Stingrays are sending many swimmers to this weekend’s state championship meet in Birmingham.

After coming up in strong at the district meet, the Stingrays will have several swimmers vying for a state championship.

The following swimmers qualified for the state meet at last weekend’s district meet.

AC Tillman, Andre Smith, AG Scott, Briley Henry, Brandon Hudson, Trinity Smith, Brycen Owens, Cooper McKinney, Cory Studstill, Conner Tillman, Samatha Shepard, Annaleigh Fischer, Sofia Landreneau, Eliana Forry, Cody Wagoner, Leal Owens, TJ Watson, Grace Philpott, Krista Sexton, Dominick Sinkfield, Stella Landreneau, Samatha Lawson, Noble Bell, Richie Philpott, Tanner Trammel, Kyanna Oliver, Jaden Young, Emma Younce, Zeke Landreneau and Cameron Sinkfield.

The state championship swim met will be held at the Birmingham CrossPlex on Bessemer Rd.

The meet begins on Friday.

The swimmers will arrive at 8:45 a.m., and begin warmups from 9:15-9:45.

Friday’s events will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Show up time on Saturday will be 6:45 a.m., with warmups lasting from 7:15-7:45.
