2 charged in drive-by shootings in Opp

A 23-year-old Andalusia man has been charged this week in last week’s drive-by shooting in Opp.
On Tuesday, June 5, the Opp Police Department responded to a shots fired call on Kolb Avenue. An investigation revealed that subjects fired multiple shots on both Kolb Avenue and Barnes with no regard for the safety of citizens that in the immediate area.
A week later, on Tuesday, June 12, members of the United States Marshal’s Task Force, the Covington County Incident Response Team, the 22nd Judicial Drug Task Force, the State Bureau of Investigations as well as Covington County S.O., Andalusia Police Department and Opp Police Department units, located a 23-year-old male Andalusia resident who was a suspect in the shooting inside an apartment at Gables Apartment complex.
According to the Opp Police Department and jail records, Jarvis Shakespeare, 23, was charged with reckless endangerment, three counts of bond revocation, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Alexis Marie Parker, 23, who resides in the apartment, was charged with hindering prosecution.
