The Covington County Drug Task Force arrested two Pensacola men for drug trafficking Friday night as a result of an Opp Police Department traffic stop.
OPD officers were conducting a traffic safety checkpoint on Walding Road about 10 p.m. Friday when a 2016 black Chevrolet Impala approached.
The driver’s license was suspended, and subsequent investigation revealed that there was 4.2 pounds of Synthetic Marihuana (Spice) valued at $17,000.00 located in the trunk compartment of the vehicle.
The DTF responded to the scene and arrested Jermaine Pressley, 44, and Paul Wells Jr., 37, both of Pensacola. Each was charged with drug trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia, and held on a $503,000 bond.
The two small children who were with them were placed into the custody of the Department of Human Resources.
