To the editor:

On Monday afternoon, my husband and I returned home from a quick trip to the post office and found four separate fires burning on the roadside. The Heath Volunteer Fire Department quickly responded and were soon assisted by the Antioch unit, River Falls unit, Gantt unit and the Alabama Forestry Commissino.

We want to take this opportunity to thank these volunteer units for their quick response and professionalism. If not for them we could have lost o ur barn and possibly our house. Thank you all for your selfless dedication and volunteer service.
