Straughn blows past Florala

The Straughn Lady Tigers scored early and often as they knocked off the Florala Lady Wildcats 20-5 on Monday in Florala.
Straughn got on the board first when Ashlee Findley ripped a double to left field that scored Dallas Mackoff from second.
Allie Hawkins then singled with one out to bring around Findley.
The Lady Tigers then got a pair of runs off a passed ball to go on top 4-0.
Mackoff gave up a single to Harrison to start the bottom of the first inning, then got three strikeouts to end the inning.
The Lady Tigers added to their lead in the top of the second inning when Colby Adams drove in Mackoff with a double.
Hawkins and Madison Harrison followed with singles to put Straughn on top 7-0.
Caroline Wood and Ellie Guilford each drove in runs to put the Lady Tigers up 10-0.
The Lady Wildcats got on the board in the bottom of the second inning when Zandia Wilkins-Simon drove in a run with a double.
Florala then added two more runs off of Straughn errors to cut the lead down to 10-3 after two innings of play.
The Lady Tigers continued to produce timely hits as they added nine runs in the top of the third inning.
Straughn was able to capitalize off a number of walks, hit batters and hits to go on top 19-3.
In the bottom of the third inning, Kaitlyn Owenby drove in Katherine Vigil with a one-out double.
Owenby then came in to score off of a passed ball.
Straughn got their final run of the game when Wood came around to score off of a ground out.
Hawkins finished the day 3-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs scored.
