The most wonderful time of the year
This is hands down my favorite time of the year.
High school baseball and softball are in full swing and Opening Day for Major League Baseball is upon us.
I’ve been a sports fan for as long as I can remember, but there is no other sport that holds my heart like baseball.
From the crack of the bat, to the ball smacking leather and to the smell of the ballpark food, there is nothing like it to me.
Some people complain that the game is too slow, and at times it can be, but there is something really cool about watching a pitcher and batter battling each other mano-a-mano.
It’s like a game of chess where you aren’t just looking at the next move, but rather two or three moves into the future.
It’s anticipating one thing and adjusting when something else happens.
I’m a fan of all sports, but my heart belongs to the game of baseball. Go Braves!
