The LBWCC Saints couldn’t get anything going on Wednesday as they fell to Wallace-Dothan 16-0 in conference play in Dothan.
Bryce Gandy led off the top of the first inning with a walk, but the next three LBWCC batters were sat down in order.
Wallace-Dothan wasted little time getting their offense going as two singles and a walk loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the first inning.
The Govs then grabbed the lead with grand slam over the fence in left field.
Wallace-Dothan’s bats were red hot as they continued to unload on the baseball in the opening frame.
Following the grand slam, two more singles and walk led to the Govs taking a 5-0 lead.
The lead stretched when the next batter doubled home a run and then back-to-back hit batters put the Govs up 7-0.
The damage continued to unfold as Wallace-Dothan built a 9-0 lead before the Saints managed to get a single out.
In total, Wallace-Dothan sent 18 batters to the plate in the opening inning and was on top 12-0 after one inning of play.
The Govs added two runs in the second inning and two runs in the third inning to take the 16-0 victory.
The Saints were unable to get a hit during the game and had just three players reach base safely.
