It’s almost spring storm season, and the American Red Cross is offering classes to make sure it has volunteers prepared to react in case disaster strikes.

New volunteers interested in providing support in their local communities can participated in a free class, Disaster Action Team Basics, set for this Thurs., Feb. 15. The class will begin at 6 p.m. and is expected to last three hours.

The class will be held at the Covington County Administration building, 260 Hillcrest Drive, Andalusia, AL 36420.
