George faces misdemeanor charges for 2017 death

A Covington County Grand Jury recently indicted Darryl George with criminally negligent homicide in the 2017 death of Brady Page.
Page, 21, died in a shooting incident at a residence on the Gantt-Red Level Road on Mon., Feb. 27, 2017.
Covington County Sheriff Dennis Meeks told The Star-News that Page’s body was found inside the home. He said Page was lying on the floor in a bedroom. Page was pronounced dead on the scene. No arrests were made at the time.
George, 20, was arrested on Fri., Jan. 5, 2018, and was held on a $20,000 bond.
A person commits the crime of criminally negligent homicide if he/she causes the death of another person by criminal negligence.
Criminally negligent homicide is a Class A Misdemeanor, the most serious of misdemeanors.
A Class A Misdemeanor can mean a jail sentence for up to a year and fines up to $6,000.
