The Voluntary Organization on Disaster held a meet and greet in the Opp Fire Department on Tuesday evening in its continuing effort to find volunteers willing to respond in times of disaster. The meeting was focused on educating others on what the group does.
“We’ve had several people come out with an interest in being a volunteer, as well as shelter ideas,” EMA director, Susan Harris said.
“We’ve had 13 or so stop by and show an interest.”
