The Red Level Lady Tigers picked up a big area win on Thursday night as they defeated the McKenzie Tigers 36-33 in overtime in Red Level.

Starting the contest, both teams struggled to find the basket as McKenzie took a 4-2 lead into the second period.

Olivia Whitefield chipped in the Lady Tigers’ lone bucket in the opening period.

The Lady Tigers surged in the second period with five points from Jayla Poindexter to help give Red Level a 15-13 lead going into halftime.

Natalie Feagin tacked on four points for Red Level in the second period.

In the third period, both teams struggled to find a basket again and McKenzie took a 20-19 lead heading in the final frame.

Feagin and Ruby Cooper each had two points for the Lady Tigers in the third period.

Red Level came out strong in the fourth period and out scored McKenzie by one point to send the game into overtime.

Feagin had five points to lead the Lady Tigers in the fourth period.

In overtime, Maggie Wilkerson knocked down a big 3-pointer to help Red Level edge out McKenzie for a 36-33 victory.

Feagin and Poindexter had two points each in overtime.

Feagin led the Lady Tigers with 13 points in the victory.
