The Art Extravaganza 2018, sponsored by Covington County Schools’ Special Education Department, will be held on Fri., Jan. 12, from 5-7 p.m. Nearly 300 local students have created original artwork to be displayed in the gym of Covington County Schools’ central office building.

Beginning in September, students started one art project each month.

“I wanted to give students a chance to be in the spotlight,” Special Education coordinator Kelly McCollough said.

“They are all talented and I enjoy seeing their artwork displayed for family members as well as members of the community.”

Students with all types of disabilities participated in this art show.
