Bulldogs get big win over Troy

The No. 8-ranked Andalusia Bulldogs continued their strong start to the season as they knocked off the Charles Henderson Trojans on the road in Troy.

BOYS

ANDALUSIA 74,

TROY 63

In varsity boys’ action, the Bulldogs grabbed the lead early and never allowed to Trojans to take the lead at any point in the contest.

Andalusia went up and held a 40-31 lead going into halftime.

In the third period, the Bulldogs stretched the lead up to 17 points.

Andalusia was on top 56-39 heading into the final period.

Charles Henderson made a comeback and trailed 68-63 with 20 seconds left on the clock.

A Trojan player then got called for a technical foul when he brought an Andalusia player down to the ground.

After the dust settled, the Bulldogs knocked down four free throws to give Andalusia a 72-63 lead with just a few seconds left on the clock.

With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 7-0 on the season

GIRLS

TROY 48,

ANDALUSIA 11

The Charles Henderson Lady Trojans stormed out front and held off the Lady Bulldogs for 48-11 win.

B-TEAM

TROY 39,

ANDALUSIA 37

In B-team action, the Bulldogs and Trojans battled back-and-forth before Charles Henderson came away with a 39-37 win.
