The Opp Bobcats put up a strong fight, but fell to Georgiana 80-42 on Saturday night in the third place game at the 51st Annual Andalusia Christmas tournament.

After Georgiana took to the lead off a basket from LeCedric Haynes, Opp’s Reggie Thompson got a steal and scored off the fast break to tie the game 2-2.

Georgiana went back on top when Jamarcus Sims dropped in a layup.

Opp continued to keep the game within striking distance with big plays from Matthews and Javonte Crittenden.

Caleb Horton led the Bobcats with seven points in the loss.

Thompson was the only Bobcat to make the All-Tournament team.
