I wrote the following after viewing the happy folks at Candyland in the Square. It sure made me nostalgic for being a child again at Christmas. I have a feeling I am not the only one that feels that way at this time of year.

Dear Editor,
Yesterday is history,
Tomorrow may not be what you
wish it to be,
And today is too quickly
Slipping away.

Simpler times, simpler
ways.
Gentle sweet memories
of
happier days.

Different paths appear
when you wish to
remain still,
time and hearts move
on,
as they always have
and always will.

Through days untold
and though life will change,
I can close my eyes,
and sweet thoughts of
what was,
drift in again.
