LOUIE JEAN (JACKSON) COWART

Mrs. Louie Jean (Jackson) Cowart, age 73, of Andalusia (formerly of Greenville), passed away Wed, Nov 29, 2017.

She is survived by her sisters, Elaine (Roger)Reeves of Andalusia, and Ruby Worley of Opp; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Sat., Dec. 2, 2017, at Mt. Olive East Baptist Church Cemetery, on McKenzie Grade Road in Greenville, with the Rev. Terry Cook officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Fri., Dec.1, 2017, at Keahey Funeral Home of Andalusia.

Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home or donations may be made to Comfort Care Hospital of Andalusia in memory of Louie Jean Jackson Cowart.

HAROLD SCHOTT

Mr. Harold Schott, age 89, of Andalusia, passed away on Wed., Nov. 29, 2017, at Opp Health and Rehab.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Fri., Dec. 1, 2017, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Nathan Daniels officiating. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra and David Robbins and Bonita and John W. Borne all of Andalusia; three grandchildren, Ben Robbins, Elizabeth Bass, and Heidi Barringer; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be made to Bethany Baptist Church or Mill Creek Baptist Church.

PAUL FAINGNAERT

Paul Arthur Faingnaert, 74, of Red Level, passed away Nov. 28, 2017, at his home surrounded by his family.

Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. on Sun., Dec. 3, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Travis Day officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services.

Mr. Faingnaert was born on Oct. 2, 1943, in Pana, Ill., and lived there the early years of his life. He joined the U.S. Army and served a tour in Germany. Mr. Faingnaert was employed as a Master Electrician and owned and operated his own business for 35 years until his retirement in 1993. He was an avid reader and he could build almost anything, having built two houses from the ground up.

Mr. Faingnaert was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Goldy Faingnaert.

Survivors include his wife, Jimmie Faingnaert; his sons, Paul Faingnaert, Webb Lee Holloway, Charles Faingnaert, and David Holloway; his daughters, Yvonne Hillburn, Shannon Gun, Teresa Guy, Sara Holloway, and Margaret Smith; and his siblings, Charles Faingnaert, Nancy Roach, Carrol Coleman, and Butch Faingnaert.

 

JAMIE DOW MATHIS

Jack Dow Mathis, 83, formerly of Orange Park, Fla., (formerly of Red Level), passed away.

He is survived by two sisters, Lynda Myrick and Matilda Tabb; two sons, Robert Mathis and John Mathis; and a granddaughter, Isabell Mathis. He is preceded in death by his wife, Magda Mathis; his parents, Bob and Caroline Mathis; his son, Jamie Mathis; and his sister, Jane Nixen.

Graveside services will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Red Level on Dec. 2, 2017, at 11 a.m.
