The Opp Bobcats didn’t make the playoffs like they would have liked, but they now they focus on finishing the season strong when they travel to Elba tonight to take on the Tigers.
Elba comes into the game winners of 7-of-8 games over the past several weeks. The Tigers finished second in their region behind Luverne, who gave Elba their only loss in the past eight weeks.
The Tigers have scored 334 points this season and given up just 154.
Opp comes into the game with a two-game losing streak, including a heartbreaking loss to Daleville that essentially ended the Bobcats’ playoff hopes.
The Bobcats finished tied for fourth place in Class 3A, Region 2, but head-to-head losses to the teams they were tied with, kept Opp out of the playoffs.
Opp has scored 184 points and given up 241 this season.
