A home that was seized in a September, 2015 drug bust on Snead Street will be sold at an auction Monday morning.
It will be auctioned at 11 a.m. on Mon., Aug. 21, 2017, in front of the Covington County Courthouse, and sold to the highest bidder.
The winning bidder must present a cashiers check by 4 p.m. that same day to complete the deal.
The house was seized after the owner, Albert Dewayne Bonham, was arrested for trafficking in cocaine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana II. Bonham has since died, and the state Court of Criminal Appeals upheld the condemnation of the home and more than $18,000 in July.
All proceeds from the sale of the home will be used to help fund the operating expenses of the 22nd Judicial Drug Task Force.
If anyone would like to view the home, contact the Drug Task Force at 334-222-3532.
