Mary Elmore Wilson
Mrs. Mary Elmore Wilson, 84, of Heath, passed away Mon., Aug. 7, 2017, in Dothan.
Mrs. Mary was a teacher with the Andalusia City School system for 30 years. She taught 5th and 6th grades at Church Street School. She was named Andalusia Area Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year in 1988. She was a graduate of Troy University where she earned a bachelor’s and master’s in education. She also earned the AA of education degree at Auburn University at Montgomery. She was a 1951 graduate of Straughn School, where she was a cheerleader for the Straughn Tigers.
Mrs. Mary was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, where she played the piano and organ for more than 60 years. She began playing the piano for church services in 1945 at the age of 12.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wed., Aug. 9, at Bethany Baptist Church with Brother Nathan Daniels and Brother Ronald Davis officiating the service. The interment service will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday at Foreman Funeral Home.
She is survived by two sons, Clark (Martha) Wilson, Jr. of Springfield, Mo., Craig Wilson (Mark McGuire) of New York, N.Y.; two daughters, Cathryn Gibson (Lynn Martin) of Lexington, Ky., and Caryl Lee (Jeff) Ray of Andalusia; eight grandchildren, Clark (Kimberly) Wilson, III, Heath (Annelise) Wilson, William C. Jackson, Chandler Gibson, Benjamin C. Jackson, Jacob C. Jackson, Graham C. Jackson, Parker C. Ray; three great grandchildren, Clark Wilson IV, Mary Catherine Wilson, and Charlotte Wilson; and a very special lifelong friend, Mrs. Wilma Tillman of Andalusia.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alonzo Wilton Elmore; her mother, Kate Barton Elmore; and by her husband of 37 years, Walter Clark Wilson, Sr.
Pallbearers will be William C. Jackson, Benjamin C. Jackson, Jacob C. Jackson, Clark Wilson, III, Heath Wilson, and Dr. Bill Tillman.

JOSEPH JACKSON MORROW, JR.
Mr. Joseph Jackson Morrow, Jr., of Cohassett, passed away Sun., Aug. 6, 2017, in Pensacola, Fla.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thurs., Aug. 10, from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Eiland officiating the service. The interment service will follow at Long Branch Cemetery in Cohassett. Visitation will begin at noon Thursday at Foreman Funeral Home.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, David and Gwen Morrow of Cohassett; one daughter, Donna Michelle Morrow of Alpharetta, Ga.; one grandchild, Tiffany (Robert) Cuevas; three great-grandchildren, Trevor Woods, Tamara Morrow, Kailea Cuevas; a brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Dale Morrow of Gantt; his sister, Angela Stokes of Gantt; and mother of his children, Sandra Morrow of Alpharetta, Ga.
Pallbearers will be Lewis Rawls, Jeff Morrow, Kenneth Johnson, Robert Cuevas, Ray Davidson, and Tommy Martin.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church building fund.
