Elba man facing theft, breaking, entering charges

An Elba man is facing breaking and entering and theft charges after he allegedly broke into an Opp residence.
Opp Police Chief Mike McDonald said that during the evening hours of Tues., April 18, a home was broken into on Jewel Street, and personal items were stolen from a vehicle.
On Thurs., April 20, McDonald said that OPD officers stopped an individual on foot for suspicious activity.
A subsequent investigation by officers revealed that the individual was allegedly involved in the incident that took place on Jewel Street, McDonald said.
Officers arrested Terriun D. Goosby, 21, of Elba.
He was charged with unlawful breaking and entering a motor vehicle and theft of property fourth degree.
He was booked into the Covington County Jail on a $13,000 bond.
