Hailing from Opp, she’s a broadcaster, children’s author

The Opp Chamber Banquet is less than a month away and one of Opp’s own will be the keynote speaker for the annual event.

“Five-time Emmy-nominated TV talent and Opp native Angie Wyatt is the host of the SPIEL with Angie and Juli on Fox,” said Emilee Gage of the Opp and Covington County Chamber of Commerce. “Angie has made a nearly 25-year career of interviewing celebrities — actors, performers, singer-songwriters, sports legends, chefs, and rising talent.”

Wyatt’s assignments have taken her deep into the Amazon jungle, atop an Alaskan Mountain, and in the trenches of a military boot camp.

Additionally, she has written a children’s book titled, “Timmy the Tractor,” which was published in 2009.

According to the website, “Timmy the Tractor gets back to the basics teaching children colors, shapes, sizes, the concepts of teamwork and patience.”

The book features characters – Timmy the Tractor, Manny the Mower, Ralph the Rake and Bill the Baler.

Wyatt said that through Jesus Christ all things are possible.

She said that she measures success in smiles, hugs, helping hands and in opportunities afforded to her, like SPIEL with Angie and Juli.
