A single-vehicle crash at 7:30 a.m. Sat., March 25, claimed the life of an Andalusia man.

William Leon Burgans, 45, was killed when the 2000 Ford Ranger he was driving left the roadway, struck a tree, and caught fire.  Burgans, who was not using a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred on Covington County 31, approximately nine miles south of Andalusia.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
