The Andalusia Lady Bulldogs held the lead late in the game, but a rally by the Ashford Lady Jackets gave them an 8-5 victory on Thursday night in Andalusia.

In the top of the first inning, the Lady Yellow Jackets got on the board first with a two-out double.

The Lady Bulldogs took advantage of an error off the bat of Haley Harper, a single from Millie Manring and walk to Zaria Jones to load the bases in the bottom of the first inning.

Chloe Mikel followed with a hard ground ball to short that caused an error and allowed Harper to score the tying run.

Another error off the bat of Alaina Nettles allowed two runs to score and give the Lady Bulldogs a 3-1 lead heading into the second inning.

Aaliyah Lawerance drew two-out walk in the bottom of the second inning and moved to second on a single from Harper.

Manring followed with a single to center that scored both Lady Bulldog runners and put Andalusia up 5-2.

The Lady Yellow Jackets added one run in the both the fourth and the fifth inning and then put the game away with four runs over the final two innings.

Manring led the Lady Bulldogs with two RBIs.
