The Andalusia Lady Bulldogs’ annual Bulldog Bash softball tournament begins today at the Dwight Mikel Sports Complex with several local teams getting in on the action.

Joining host team Andalusia in the tournament will be Opp, Red Level, Straughn, Pleasant Home, Houston Academy and Carroll-Ozark.

In the opening round of the tournament, the Opp Lady Bobcats will take on Houston Academy at 4 p.m.

The tournament will move to two fields at 5:30 p.m., with Andalusia battling it out with the Red Level Lady Tigers and Straughn taking on Pleasant Home.

Friday night’s final game will be between Andalusia and Houston Academy at 7.

On Saturday, Opp and Red Level will face off at 9 a.m., as will Straughn and Carroll-Ozark.

At 10:30 a.m., Andalusia takes on Opp, and Pleasant Home matches up with Carroll-Ozark.

The final game of the round-robin is at noon between Red Level and Houston Academy.

Following the round robin portion of the tournament, a single elimination tournament starts at 2 p.m.
