Jasper “Jack” Griggs

Mr. Jasper “Jack” Griggs, age 89, of Andalusia, passed away Sat., Feb. 18, 2017, at Andalusia Manor.

Memorial Services will be held at 6 p.m. on Fri., Feb. 24, 2017, at Carolina Baptist Church with Brother Billy Boles officiating.

He is survived by his sons, Joe Griggs of Andalusia and Roy Griggs of River Falls; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his sons, Rufus Griggs and David Griggs (infant); and his only daughter, Jo Ann Davis.

 

Christine Olive Davis

Mrs. Christine Olive Davis, 91, of Andalusia, passed away Mon., Feb. 20, 2017, at the Opp Health and Rehab.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Fri., Feb. 24, at Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with her grandson, Brother Merrill Davis officiating and Foreman Funeral Home directing the service. No public visitation is scheduled; the family will visit with friends at the cemetery.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Betty Davis of Andalusia; her grandchildren, Amanda and Will Wardle, Merrill and Shanna Davis, of Andalusia, and Baker and Jana Davis of Magnolia Springs, Ala.; seven great-grandchildren, Corban Bryant Davis, Collin Max Davis, Maryn Kate Davis, Sullivan Baker Davis, Mabry Virginia Davis, William Grant Wardle, and Richard Daniel Wardle; one brother, Dr. Howard Goodlet Olive of Maryville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Max Merrill Davis; and her son, Howard Thomas Davis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Montezuma Activity Center.
