Community Christmas board says ‘thanks’

Andalusia Community Christmas want to say a big “THANK YOU” to the people of our community for providing a Christmas package for over 300 boys and girls from the elementary schools of Red Level, Straughn, Pleasant Home and Andalusia. In addition to the packages bicycles and helmets were given to 135 kids whose names were drawn from those in attendance.
It is most heartwarming to realize that the community gave with such generosity and that so many people were involved by buying gifts, donating money, registering kids, formatting the databases, collecting and organizing packages, and making sure that every child was accounted for, shopping for the kids, assembling bicycles, setting up for the party, working during the party, entertaining the kids, cleaning up after the party and in general just giving of themselves without asking for anything in return.
Again, thanks to so many individuals, civic clubs, students (AHS and LBWCC), businesses, foundations and others that made a difference in the lives so many kids and their families this Christmas season. We all look forward to doing this again next year!
