Pilotte is Kiwanian of year

The Andalusia Kiwanis Club recognized Barbara Pilotte as its Kiwanian of the year Monday night. The award was presented at the group’s annual banquet, held Monday at the Andalusia Country Club.
Immediate past president Debbie Grissett presented the award.
She said Pilotte is one of the club’s newer members, but described her as a workhorse.
Pilotte serves on the club’s board of directors and the fair board. She heads the Community Services Committee, and managed the ticket booth for the Covington County Fair.
She has filled in as the both the club’s secretary and treasurer.
She also head the Operation Christmas Child project for both Harmony Baptist Church and CCB Community Bank. At Harmony, she also severs as director of women on missions, and Sunday school directors.
“She works just as hard at CCB Community Bank, always volunteering for committees and projects while at the same time performing her assigned duties,” Grissett said.
Troy University Athletic Director Jeremy McClain was the guest speaker.
Also recognized were Legion of Honor club members Dan Frasher, 45 years; Mike Beste, 45 years; Bill King, 40 years; Paul Darnell, 30 years; Woody Clark, 25 years; and Scott Wright, 25 years.
