Kayron Ann Wiggins
Mrs. Kayron Ann Wiggins, of Andalusia passed away Sun., Dec. 11, 2016, in a Niceville, Fla., hospital.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Thurs., Dec. 15, at Keahey Chapel. The Rev. Gary Miller will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home one hour prior to services. Interment will follow in Andalusia Memorial Cemetery with Keahey Funeral Home directing.
Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Carroll, Thad Grayson, Phillip Rugg, Scott Pickett, Wayne Harrelson, Josh Hickman.
Mrs. Wiggins and her husband, Rickey, had shared 28 years together. The couple was members of Westview Baptist Church in Opp. She loved to sew and was described as lovingly keeping things “patched” for Rickey. She was an outdoors person and spent a lot of time in her yard and tending to her flowers. She loved being a “Nene” to her four sweet grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband, Rickey Wiggins of Andalusia; son, Samuel Jacob Whitehead of Enterprise; daughter, Sunnie Nichole Wiggins of Kinston; four grandchildren, Kelsey, Troy, Levi and Seth.
Johnnie Ruth Reeves King
Mrs. Johnnie Ruth Reeves King died peacefully at her home on Mon., Dec. 12, 2016, at the age of 89. She will be greatly missed by her extended family and friends.
The family will receive visitors at the First Baptist Church, East Three Notch Street, in Andalusia beginning at 10 a.m. on Thurs., Dec. 15; funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., and be followed by interment in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery. Dr. Bill Montgomery and the Rev. Peggy King Scott will officiate. Dr. Joseph D. Scott will provide music.
Born in Coffee County, Mrs. King lived most of her life in Andalusia, where she raised her family, worked as a co-owner of King’s IGA Grocery, and served in numerous children’s ministries of the First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, William Hugh King; her father, John Henry Reeves; her mother Fleeta Parrish Reeves Teate; and by her brother, William “Bill” Reeves.
She is survived by her sisters, Patricia Reeves Northrop of Opp, and Janette Reeves Locklier of Flomaton; her sister-in-law, Annette Reeves of Andalusia; her children, Peggy King Scott of New Roads, La.; William Hugh King, Jr. and wife, Lisa, of Rose Hill, Ala.; Catherine King Alexander and husband, Gary, of Andalusia; her grandchildren, Jennifer Scott Borden of McLean, Va.; Mary Elizabeth Scott Van Sickle of Natchitoches, La.; Carrie Elizabeth King of Auburn, and by Alex Tyler King, Mitchell Lee Alexander and Edith “Edie” Ruth Alexander, all of Andalusia; by nine great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren and by numerous nieces and nephews. She will be remembered for her tireless devotion to her extended family, her bountiful and wonderful cooking, and her gracious and unassuming generosity in helping anyone in need, particularly children.
The family wishes to thank Dorothy Cobb, Shirley Harris and Brenda Ziglar for their loving service during the past years of Mrs. King’s home confinement and to all who visited and expressed care and concern during this time.
