The Pleasant Home Lady Eagles know they have their worked cut out for them, but they also know they have chance to win the Class 1A volleyball state tournament beginning today in Birmingham.

In last week’s South Regional tournament in Montgomery, the Lady Eagles picked up a pair of wins on the opening day to clinch a spot in this week’s state championship tournament.

Pleasant Home’s quest to the Class 1A state crown begins today at 9:30 a.m., when the Lady Eagles take on Addison.

The Lady Eagles have been led by Abby Walker, River Baldwin, Sissy Martin, Camille Holley and Hope Gunter.

Many other players have chipped in significant contributions to put the Lady Eagles in the playoffs.
