Florala might not have won a game yet his season, but the Wildcats’ head coach Brad Rhodes likes the improvements he has seen from his young team leading into Friday night’s homecoming battle with the Pleasant Home Eagles.
“We are just going with the approach that the most important part about homecoming week is on Friday night,” Rhodes said. “Pleasant Home is a very good football team and we have to be ready for them.”
Rhodes said that the Wildcats have shown improvement, despite this season’s record.
“I feel like we have progressed each week,” Rhodes said. “We have guys that are playing with more confidence, especially some of the younger guys. You can tell that they are gaining experience each week.”
Rhodes said that he would love a win on Friday, but just wants to see his kids fight for it regardless.
“I want to see the kids go out there and play hard,” Rhodes said. “I want to see them playing with emotion and passion.”
Homecoming festivities will begin at 6:20 p.m., Friday. Kickoff will follow the homecoming festivities.
