Woodham to teach special ed

Misty Woodham has joined Straughn Elementary school as a special education teacher.
“I feel so blessed to have this opportunity,” she said. “I love Straughn and I am looking forward to getting to know each of my students. I believe that every student is unique and they should be valued for their uniqueness.
She is married to Shawn Woodham and they have two girls, Neat and Rachel Woodham.
She completed her internship at SES this past school year and graduated from Troy University with a graduate degree in collaborative special education K-6 in May.
“Straughn is an excellent school, and I could not be more thankful to be a part of it this year,” she said. “I am anticipating a wonderful fun-filled school year with my students.”
